Role Purpose
As the Product & Delivery Manager for nijobfinder, you will be responsible for managing and optimising our job board platform, leveraging our job board software while implementing customisations to enhance the user experience.
Your role will focus on ensuring that nijobfinder remains a market-leading recruitment platform in Northern Ireland by aligning product functionality with business objectives and user needs. You will oversee the configuration, integration, and continuous improvement of the platform, working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver an efficient, effective, and commercially successful solution.
Additionally, your leadership of the customer support team will be instrumental in maintaining high levels of user satisfaction. Ultimately, you will play a crucial role in ensuring nijobfinder remains a trusted and effective job board for both employers and job seekers in Northern Ireland.
Role Responsibilities (Overview)
- Plan, manage, and oversee the delivery of platform enhancements and development projects for nijobfinder, working with third-party providers to ensure optimal platform performance and user experience.
- Define and document project requirements through effective collaboration with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and Technology Product Studio, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned.
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to support the efficient delivery of platform improvements, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Work closely with product, support, and testing teams to ensure a seamless handover of new features and enhancements, conducting thorough testing and quality assurance before implementation.
- Liaise with technology partners and software vendors to obtain accurate cost estimates, delivery timelines, and technical feasibility assessments, ensuring that business objectives are met.
- Oversee and manage business requirements documentation, ensuring that specifications are clearly defined and accurately captured for development and implementation.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, with a particular focus on the job board and recruitment marketplace, to ensure nijobfinder remains competitive and innovative.
- Identify and manage project risks, implementing proactive mitigation strategies to address potential challenges and ensure smooth execution.
- Lead and oversee the customer support team, ensuring a high standard of service, prompt resolution of issues, and the collection of user feedback to inform future platform improvements.
- Continuously optimise platform performance and user experience, leveraging analytics, user insights, and feedback to make data-driven product decisions.
- Other duties as required by management to support the ongoing success of nijobfinder.
Experience & Qualifications (Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge)
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- 3rd Level Degree in a relevant subject (or at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role)
- Product Management Experience – Proven experience managing digital products, ideally within the recruitment, classifieds, or marketplace sectors.
- Platform & Vendor Management – Experience configuring and optimising third-party software solutions, managing vendor relationships, and implementing customisations to meet business needs.
- Customer Support Leadership – Experience managing or working closely with customer support teams, ensuring high levels of user satisfaction and effective issue resolution.
- Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration – Ability to work across teams, including sales, marketing and technology providers to align product development with business objectives.
- Data-Driven Decision Making – Experience using analytics and user insights to inform product decisions, optimize platform performance, and drive commercial growth.
- Process Improvement & Operational Excellence – Experience streamlining workflows, automating processes where possible, and improving overall platform efficiency.
- Recruitment Industry Knowledge (Desirable) – Understanding of the job board industry, employer and job seeker needs, and competitive market trends.
- Technical & Digital Acumen – Comfort working with digital platforms, APIs, and integrations, with the ability to translate business needs into platform requirements.
- Problem-Solving & Adaptability – Ability to troubleshoot challenges, identify opportunities for innovation, and adapt to evolving business and market conditions.
