Your impact.

As an Enterprise Architect you are responsible for developing and maintaining the architecture capability at Mediahuis. The role covers multiple domains, including functional and technical architecture. This involves supporting and coordinating the architecture team while also managing individual deliverables, mainly related to strategy. You work closely with the Head of Architecture, sharing responsibilities, collaborating on key deliverables and dividing work as needed.

Your role includes.

• Business strategy: identifying initiatives to enable new business capabilities and enhance existing ones. Collaborate with domain architects to create a product roadmap that aligns with business strategy and architecture standards.
• IT strategy: by coworking with solution architects to define cross-domain reference architectures, including principles, technology standards and guidelines. Lead initiatives and communitiesfor technical improvements and keep an eye on new technologies and trends to support strategic decisions.
• Local entity architecture: you manage the local architecture for existing publishers in the group and new acquisitions. Work with domain architects to document the current state and create a roadmap for onboarding group solutions, tailored to local needs.
• Architecture framework: contribute to the development and adoption of the architecture framework, which includes guardrails, processes and deliverables for informed architectural decisions. Support the implementation of LeanIX as APM tooling and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure consistency and traceability.
• Project architecture: take on project architect responsibilities when needed, including managing the architecture for specific business initiatives, typically cross-domain, exploring options for technical enablers or supporting investment decisions.
• Stakeholder management: act as a key link between business, IT and external partners. Collaborate with CISO and DPO to ensure the architecture meets security standards and regulatory requirements. Clearly communicate architecture visions and strategies within the organization and promote best practices.

What makes you a great fit?

• You have +5 years experience in enterprise architecture (including functional and technical architecture). A good understanding of business processes is essential, and ideally media industry knowledge.
• Architecture fundamentals: good knowledge of principles, frameworks and best practices. Expertise in architecture tooling (e.g. LeanIX) and frameworks (e.g. ArchiMate, C4).
• Diverse technical knowledge: good understanding of areas such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, domain-driven design, composable architecture, integration architecture and data architecture.
• Analytical and bridgebuilding skills: problem-solving, bottom-up leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Pioneering: proven ability to lead change and drive innovation in complex environments

About the practicalities:

• Language proficiency: fluency in English is essential, knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

• Place of employment: this position requires regular presence in our different entities (based on our local entity architecture), combined with home office
